Signet was founded to provide continuing information on the business environment of the Middle East and North Africa to global businesses to better understand the MENA region and to be better informed ahead of investing in the region and as they remain investors. In addition, Signet writes research papers which will maintain an information flow to clients to ensure the optimum business decisions in the future through alerts, positive and negative, on various developments across the region and the effect which they could have on business.
A dynamic and highly-driven team of analysts has come together at Signet to cover the MENA region’s markets and sectors, questioning and forecasting trends across various sectors, to help our clients with advice that has been tested critically.
Our website is still under construction, but soon clients will be able to access the most up-to-date business trends, stories and analysis.
Research, Services, and Commissioned Research
Subscribers to Signet will receive bi-monthly reports on developments across the MENA region, in addition to key research papers on thematic issues which we deem important to the future of the region’s business environment. Clients may also commission Signet to write targeted research on issues which can be country-specific, regional, or thematic, tailored to their interests.
Angus Blair founded Signet after 30 years of investment banking experience in London and in the MENA region. He was, historically, part of a double Extel-rated team in the City of London, and at Barings, after moving to the management of many emerging markets, he led the team which brought Egypt’s first Global Depository Receipt, CIB, to the London Stock Exchange and subsequently the launch of one of the world’s largest country funds, the USD 250m Saudi Arabian Investment Fund. In addition, he has advised many business groups on corporate strategy and remains an investor in start-ups, helping provide advice to target clients and to grow quickly. At Signet, Mr Blair has brought together a group of highly-talented professionals to excel in the provision of research, policy papers and advice across the MENA region.
